In 2008 I was going to go on what appeared to be my last US/Canada tour as a guitarist for The Legendary Pink Dots.
Edward (the singer) suggested to put some of my own music on the merch table, so for that purpose I decided to dig up some home recordings.
All of it was recorded on a Tascam Porta 2 four track cassette recorder in a tiny little room, my favorite hideout from a wicked world.
I sang lead and harmony vocals and played the following musical instruments:
Acoustic and electric guitar, bass guitar, drums, mandolin, organ, piano, Korg MS10 synth, harmonica.
The tape hiss and sonic weirdness you might notice is entirely my responsibility and I have to admit that on some of the tracks it's quite spectacular. Listening back to these recordings now I am transported back to a special vibe and atmosphere. A momentum in space and time where I was able to completely melt into the music and create my own magical little universe. I hereby invite you to hang loose and join me there for a spell.

This was the LPDs' very first release. It's not a really an album in the traditional sense, and not as long as the other collections of early tracks that came out in 1981, but it's a great listen with a few rarities, including "O(ri)ffice," "Waiting for the Call/You 'n' Me," and "Frosty," all gloriously subversive but sweet-sounding indie pop tracks alongside weird noise like "It Rots Your Liver" and "The Chemical Playschool." RTW
